oh, the holidays...

SO -- thanksgiving is coming closer and closer! and of course the sad thing is, i am NOT excited whatsoever. it's just another year to bring up all the family drama and go through the most awkward moments of the year. woofreakinghoo.
anyway, i would like to take this moment to thank KOST 103.5 for making my life filled with happy holiday music 24/7 until christmas day. you make this season so very very special and i love you for it! no joke, even if it's 80 something degrees outside, there's not a cloud in the sky, i'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt -- hearing christmas music still makes it feel like christmas. I've been doing some shopping the last couple weekends and i can't wait for this year!! :D i think this is the first year everything/everyones pretty much covered! i LOVE christmas shopping, but hate the amount of stuff i find for myself (which i then end up labeling "to nicole, from santa" when christmas comes around).
i don't get why the holiday season makes you so vulnerable. it's like the second time of year (besides valentine's day) where it'd be 98120829317 times better with someone special in your life. sometimes i wonder if the reasons people stay together when they're in shit relationships is because of february 14 and december 25/31. sad times...
i guess i should really appreciate this year's festivities, seeing as last year my thanksgiving was spent in the corrie tap with three awkward people talking about absolutely NOTHING. and i'm pretty sure my dinner consisted of mashed potatoes and corn. soo, what am i thankful for this thanksgiving? i'm thankful for my mom, my sister, my godfather, my good good friends, being able to go to school, being able to drive, being able to live where i live, being able to go shopping every weekend, being able to travel and see my babes, my babes, and just everything/everyone i have in life that i usually take for granted.
Thank you for putting up with me through all the good/bad times. :)
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
